Our client is well-established housing provider who have gone through a period of transformation and are now looking for a highly motivated and experienced Trades Supervisor to join their team based in Central London, overseeing a team of Multi-Trade Operatives providing responsive repairs and maintenance services for customers living in their homes.
The role of Trades Supervisor will contribute to the smooth running of the DLO, focussing on operational efficiencies and productivity. Overseeing the day-to-day work of your immediate team and functioning as a key liaison between residents, the planning team and management teams, this is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join a supportive and collaborative team where you will ensure that residents’ homes are being repaired to a high standard and in line with SLAs.
As Trades Supervisor, your role will not only oversee the daily operations of trades activities in your team, but will also work closely with other teams and external contractors when necessary to ensure that works are delivered to high standards, productively and with customers satisfaction as a priority. This will involve monitoring team performance, providing support and guidance as needed, resolving any trade-related issues, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations, and performing regular site inspections and audits to ensure that high standards are upheld.
The successful applicant to the role of Trades Supervisor will be a well-established team leader who has good technical knowledge and experience of supervising the day-to-day operations of an effective repairs and maintenance service in a social housing setting, in addition to the following:
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, preferably with a relevant H&S certification (i.e. NEBOSH / IOSH)
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, contractors, and tenants.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
