Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Location: Exeter

Job Purpose:

To assist the Quantity Surveying team with cost management, procurement, and project administration for groundworks and civil engineering projects. 

Must have Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified as a Quantity Surveying or currently studying towards a degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• GCSEs or A-levels (or equivalent), including mathematics and English.
• Previous experience in construction or groundworks.
• A full UK driving license.

• Willingness to Learn: Eager to gain new skills and knowledge in Quantity Surveying and construction.
• Numerical Ability: Strong aptitude for working with numbers and data.
• Attention to Detail: Accurate and thorough in work to ensure cost control and project success.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for liaising with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Team Player: Collaborative and able to work effectively within a team.
• IT Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and willingness to learn estimating software.
• Problem-Solving: Enthusiastic about identifying and resolving challenges in a construction environment.
