About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a leading Facilities Management provider based in West London (W6). In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 8-11 M&E Engineers, ensuring the efficient maintenance and operation of mechanical systems across the site.
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will have a strong understanding of plumbing, HVAC, water systems, pipes, and ventilation. You’ll be expected to manage both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring that all mechanical systems are functioning optimally.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous AP (Authorised Person) experience looking to take the next step in their career within a large, well-established Facilities Management company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of 8-11 M&E Engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of work.
- Oversee the maintenance, installation, and repair of plumbing, HVAC, water systems, pipes, and ventilation systems.
- Perform regular inspections of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure all work is completed within the required timeframes.
- Act as a key point of contact for any mechanical-related issues or escalations, ensuring swift resolution.
- Ensure all statutory compliance requirements are met, including maintaining accurate records of maintenance and servicing activities.
- Support the wider Facilities Management team in ensuring smooth operation of the site’s infrastructure.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong knowledge and experience in maintaining plumbing, HVAC, water systems, pipes, and ventilation.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, managing a team of engineers.
- Previous AP experience is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple demands.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
