Quantity Surveyor – Islington – Property Services Contractor – £50,000

Quantity Surveyor required to work with medium sized property services contractor delivering planned maintenance social housing projects in Islington. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Price tender enquiries by visiting sites, taking condition survey photographs, and carrying out measurements as needed.
• Prepare and submit monthly valuations and accounts, ensuring all documentation for variations is received promptly.
• Ensure that the rates agreed for sub-contracted work cover all necessary safety requirements.
• Provide clients with cost estimates for any additional work.
• Upon completion of projects, assist in completing contract performance assessment forms.

Essential Skills/Knowledge:

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector.
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Full driving licence.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fully proficient in computer use, with experience in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Capable of establishing strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Package:

• Salary: £50,000 + vehicle allowance.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (1-hour lunch break).
• Holiday entitlement: 21 days per year, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure.
• Birthday day off.
• Company-provided phone for business purposes.

Additional Information:

• A DBS check will be conducted at the company’s expense.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Six-month probationary period applies.
• An aptitude test will be required during the interview stage.
