We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management team, covering a diverse portfolio of commercial properties across Southeast & Greater London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, customer-focused engineer who is looking for a varied mobile role, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
The Role
As a Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites.
You will work closely with clients and site teams, providing a professional service while diagnosing faults, completing repairs and supporting minor installations and project works.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites

Diagnose and repair faults on electrical or mechanical systems, depending on your area of expertise

Ensure all works are completed in accordance with relevant health & safety, compliance and industry standards

Provide excellent customer service when dealing with clients, customers and building users

Complete accurate job reports, CAFM updates and maintenance documentation

Support minor installations, upgrades and project works when required

Identify potential issues and recommend appropriate remedial actions

Maintain a high standard of workmanship across all sites

Participate in an on-call rota where applicable
About You
We are looking for a proactive, reliable and technically capable engineer who takes pride in delivering a high-quality service.
Electrical Bias
You will ideally have:
-
Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation, City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent
-
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

Strong experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding

Experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services or a commercial environment

Good understanding of electrical compliance and health & safety requirements
Mechanical Bias
You will ideally have:

Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent

Experience maintaining mechanical building services

Experience with systems such as HVAC, pumps, pipework and plant equipment

Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services or a commercial environment
Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience within Facilities Management or Building Services

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

Experience working across commercial environments

Good knowledge of health & safety and compliance requirements

Professional and customer-focused approach

Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload

Full UK driving licence
Desirable
-
Multi-skilled electrical and mechanical capability
-
HVAC experience
-
F-Gas certification, particularly for mechanical/HVAC engineers
-
Experience using CAFM systems

Additional relevant trade qualifications
