Estimator – Social Housing Planned Works Refurbishment

Are you an experienced Estimator looking to work on major social housing and planned maintenance projects?

We’re recruiting for an Estimator to join a well-established contractor delivering planned works, refurbishment, retrofit and decarbonisation projects across the social housing sector. The Role

Working closely with commercial, operational and bid teams, you’ll produce accurate and competitive estimates for a range of planned investment projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, plant and subcontractors.

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.

• Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.

• Preparing competitive tender submissions for planned maintenance, refurbishment and retrofit projects.

• Supporting tender reviews and project handovers.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as an Estimator within Social Housing, Planned Maintenance or Planned Works.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, pricing and estimating.

• Experience producing tender submissions and cost plans.

• Excellent Excel and estimating software skills.

• Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR) or schedule of rates pricing would be highly advantageous.

• HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent experience in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
