Technical Services Manager Hampshire £50,000 – £54,000 Company Van Temp to Perm
We are recruiting a Technical Services Manager on behalf of a leading facilities management provider operating across a large, multi-site estate in Hampshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, technically qualified professional to step into a high-impact role managing engineering teams, client relationships, and a varied programme of planned and reactive works.
The successful Technical Services Manager will be field-based and mobile, taking ownership of a diverse portfolio of approximately 140 properties across Hampshire. You will be the key point of contact for the client, attending regular meetings, understanding the estate’s needs, and translating that knowledge into effective delivery on the ground.
The Role
As Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing a multi-disciplinary engineering workforce across the contract
- Attending client meetings to develop a thorough understanding of the estate and its requirements
- Managing a programme of works including small to medium refurbishments, such as roof refurbishments and reactive maintenance
- Obtaining competitive quotations and presenting them to the client for approval
- Ensuring high standards of service delivery across all sites within the portfolio
- Acting as the first point of escalation for both the client and the engineering team
- Supporting the growth and development of the team in line with contract requirements
What We’re Looking For
The ideal Technical Services Manager will bring the following:
- A time-served or formally qualified background in a mechanical discipline — AC, plumbing, or gas (Level 2 or 3 minimum)
- Proven experience progressing from a hands-on engineering role through to supervisory or contract management level
- Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a technical team
- Commercial awareness — comfortable obtaining and presenting quotations for client approval
- Excellent communication skills with experience managing client relationships at site or contract level
- A full UK driving licence – this role requires regular travel across Hampshire
- A proactive approach to managing a large, geographically spread estate
The Package
- Salary: £50,000 – £54,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Company van provided
- 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Temp to perm opportunity with a view to a permanent offer for the right candidate
