About the Role

My client is a leading provider of property maintenance and retrofit services, delivering high-quality solutions across the social housing and residential sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to join their responsive repairs team on a temp-to-perm basis.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out plumbing works alongside general maintenance tasks, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of plumbing repairs and installations, including fixing leaks, pipework, taps, toilets, and drainage issues.
• Diagnose faults and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Complete multi-trade works such as basic plastering, tiling, painting, and carpentry.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests in occupied and void properties.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently with minimal disruption to residents.
• Deliver excellent customer service when working in tenants’ homes.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Accurately record completed works and maintain job documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plumber within a maintenance or repairs environment.
• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience working within social housing or residential maintenance.
• Ability to carry out multi-trade works to a good standard.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
