We’re working with a well-established organisation delivering repairs and maintenance services, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to join their team.

This is a key role within the operation, responsible for coordinating planning activity, supporting a team, and ensuring service delivery meets performance targets and customer expectations.

The Role

As a Senior Scheduler, you’ll take ownership of the planning function, overseeing workload distribution, supporting schedulers, and ensuring jobs are allocated efficiently across operatives and contractors.

You’ll play a vital role in both day-to-day scheduling and longer-term planning, helping to drive performance and improve service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and supporting schedulers, ensuring tasks are prioritised effectively
  • Overseeing workload allocation to maintain balance and efficiency across the team
  • Planning and coordinating large-scale and cyclical maintenance programmes
  • Managing complex scheduling across multiple trades and high-volume repairs
  • Ensuring optimal use of operatives, subcontractors, and materials
  • Monitoring KPIs such as SLA performance, first-time fix rates, and customer satisfaction
  • Producing and presenting performance reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Acting as a key point of contact between planners, operatives, and contract managers
  • Managing escalated customer queries and ensuring timely resolution
  • Supporting workforce planning, including rotas and out-of-hours coverage
  • Using data and insight to support operational improvements and decision-making

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Senior Scheduler or similar role
  • Strong background in planning and allocating work within a repairs or maintenance environment
  • Experience working within a helpdesk or call-handling function
  • Ability to manage, support, and develop team members
  • Confident working to KPIs and performance targets
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems and drive improvements
