Grounds Maintenance Operative

Residential Care Estate, Outskirts of Edinburgh

Duration: Minimum 10–12 weeks
Hours: 3 days per week

Job Description:
I am currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join my clients team on a part-time basis. This role is based on a well-maintained children’s residential care estate located on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of grounds maintenance duties to ensure the outdoor areas remain safe, tidy, and presentable for residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grass cutting, strimming, and edging
• Hedge trimming and pruning
• General upkeep of landscaped areas
• Leaf clearing and litter picking
• Basic maintenance of tools and equipment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role preferred
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Able to pass a PVG check
