We’re working with a leading building services contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to lead site-based delivery teams.

This role would also suit a Mechanical Site Engineer or Site Manager looking to step up into a Construction Manager position.

The Role

As Construction Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for site delivery, leading installation teams and subcontractors across all construction phases.

You will:

• Lead and manage site-based construction and installation activities
• Oversee projects from design, engineering and procurement through to completion
• Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with specifications
• Drive programme performance, ensuring key milestones are achieved
• Manage subcontractors, labour and site resources effectively
• Monitor quality, productivity and site standards
• Support commercial teams with variations, progress reporting and cost control
• Lead site meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
• Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and company procedures
• Oversee commissioning, snagging and project handover

You will have:

• Proven experience in a Construction Manager, Site Manager or Senior Site Engineer role within MEP / Building Services
• Strong mechanical bias 
• Experience delivering projects from installation through to commissioning and handover
• Background managing subcontractors and site teams on live projects
• Solid understanding of programme delivery, site logistics and project coordination

Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of building services systems and MEP installations
• Experience with method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Knowledge of commissioning processes and procedures
• Understanding of construction contracts and commercial awareness
• Familiarity with BIM processes and project coordination tools

Qualifications 

• NVQ Level 3 in Construction Site Supervision or similar
• HNC/HND or equivalent in Building Services / Engineering
• CSCS (Black Card / ECS / JIB)
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification
• SMSTS or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence
