Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative – Response Repairs

Salary: £36,000 per annum Company Van & Fuel Card

About the Role

My client is a leading provider of property maintenance and retrofit services, delivering high-quality solutions across social housing and residential sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative to join their responsive repairs team.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out carpentry works alongside general maintenance tasks, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of carpentry repairs and installations, including doors, frames, skirting, kitchens, and flooring
• Diagnose faults and determine appropriate repair solutions
• Complete multi-trade works such as basic plastering, tiling, painting, and minor plumbing
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests in occupied and void properties
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently with minimal disruption to residents
• Maintain high levels of customer service when working in tenants’ homes
• Adhere to all health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Accurately record work completed and maintain job documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience as a carpenter within maintenance or repairs environments
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry & Joinery (preferred)
• Experience in social housing or residential maintenance
• Ability to carry out multi-trade tasks to a good standard
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
