Multi-Skilled Plumber
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000
Location: University of the West of England (Bristol)
Permanent 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

About the Role

Build Recruitment are currently working with a client to recruit a Multi-Skilled Plumber to join their established Facilities Management team on the University of the West of England contract.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and plumbing systems
• Working on hot and cold water systems (HWS & CWS), heating systems, radiators, valves, toilets, and showers
• Completing remedial repairs and minor building fabric works where required
• Diagnosing faults and resolving technical issues using your own initiative
• Sourcing parts and liaising with suppliers or manufacturers when needed
• Accurately recording all works using PDAs or electronic systems
• Working closely with the helpdesk and wider FM team to ensure efficient service delivery
• Ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales and to a high standard
• Adhering strictly to Health & Safety procedures, including point-of-work risk assessments
• Participating in an out-of-hours rota

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in Plumbing
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a building maintenance or FM environment
• Strong experience with planned, reactive, and remedial maintenance
• CSCS or ECS card
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable using PDAs or mobile systems for job management
• A proactive, problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail
• Reliable, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
