Carpenter – Responsive Repairs
Location: Ealing
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £38,800 per annum Company Van & Fuel Card
Hours: 42.5 per week (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm)
Build recruitment is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join the responsive repairs team of an established social housing contractor in Ealing. You’ll carry out high?quality carpentry repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing, helping ensure residents’ homes are safe, secure and well maintained.
What you’ll be doing

• Completing day?to?day carpentry repairs in occupied homes
• Replacing and repairing internal doors, frames, locks and ironmongery
• Fitting and adjusting kitchen units, worktops and cupboard doors
• Installing skirting boards, architraves and decorative joinery
• Repairing timber flooring, stairs and handrails
• Basic making-good such as patch plastering or tiling
• Recording job details and materials using handheld devices
• Working professionally in residents’ homes and delivering great customer service
• Following all health & safety procedures and reporting additional property issues

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in domestic carpentry repairs and maintenance
• Competence across the duties listed above
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload
• Strong problem?solving and fault?finding skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Comfortable working in occupied homes
• Understanding of health & safety and safe working practices
• Willingness to join the out?of?hours rota
