Graduate Mechanical Engineer – Building ServicesPlymouth, Devon28,000 – £36,000 DOE Permanent We are seeking a very motivated Graduate/Trainee Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer with a passion for building services design to develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic environment.The Role

You will work alongside experienced engineers to assist in the design and development of mechanical building services systems across a range of projects. This role offers exposure to all stages of the design process, providing a strong foundation for a successful career in building services engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the design and development of mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation.

• Supporting senior engineers with calculations, technical drawings, and specifications.

• Using design software such as AutoCAD and/or Revit to produce and review drawings.

• Participating in project meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

• Ensuring designs comply with relevant UK regulations and industry standards.

• Contributing to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

• Support and Training will also be provided. 

About You

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or qualified/experienced in a Mechanical role

• Some experience in building services or a mechanical engineering role is desirable.

• Strong interest in mechanical design and engineering solutions.

• Good understanding of engineering principles and willingness to learn.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
