Electrically Biased Engineer
Location: Kent Science Park, Sittingbourne
Salary: Up to £41,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

A facilities management company is looking for an electrically biased engineer to join the on-site maintenance team at Kent Science Park in Sittingbourne. The role involves providing electrical and general building services maintenance, ensuring plant and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with current regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance tasks
• Maintain and repair electrical systems and associated plant equipment
• Support lighting, emergency lighting and low voltage systems
• Assist with fault finding and diagnostics across building services systems
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
• Escort and monitor subcontractors on site when required
• Complete maintenance records and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and service requests
• Support general building maintenance when needed

Requirements

• Electrically qualified (18th Edition preferred)
• Experience working within building services or facilities maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of health and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organisational skills
