Location: Oxford
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Annual Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum
Benefits: Company van and fuel card
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm)
Day-to-Day Duties

Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied properties

Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and drainage issues
-
Replace taps, toilets, cisterns, basins, and other sanitary ware
-
Repair or replace pipework, valves, and fittings
-
Work on unvented cylinders
-
Investigate and resolve issues with hot water systems and radiators
-
Remove, repair, and refit bath panels to access pipework, ensuring a professional finish
-
Ensure all works comply with current plumbing regulations and health and safety standards
-
Record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
-
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
-
Work respectfully in residents’ homes, keeping work areas clean and safe
-
Identify and report any follow-on works, safeguarding concerns, or property issues

Participate in the out-of-hours emergency rota when required
-
Deliver high levels of customer care at all times
Role Criteria
-
Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance
-
Experience working in occupied properties, ideally within social housing
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
-
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
-
Good understanding of health and safety and safe working practices
-
Confident using handheld devices or job management systems
-
Willingness to take part in an out-of-hours rota

To drive a company vehicle, applicants must be aged 21 or over, have held a licence for at least 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
