About the Role

The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a qualified and experienced Gas Safe Engineer to join its maintenance team, delivering gas servicing, repairs, and safety works across social housing properties in the Brixton area.

This is a static position, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work within a well-established local authority environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out gas servicing, maintenance, and repairs in occupied social housing properties

• Completing gas safety checks and issuing relevant certification

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently and safely

• Ensuring all works comply with current gas safety regulations and legislation

• Accurately completing job reports and compliance documentation

• Providing a professional and customer-focused service to residents

• Working in line with health and safety requirements at all times

Essential Requirements

• Gas Safe registered (essential)

• Valid ACS certificates

• Proven experience working as a Gas Engineer, ideally within social housing

• Strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and compliance

• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Own vehicle preferred
