We’re looking for a proactive and organised Customer Service Advisor to join our busy call centre team in Basildon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing first-class service in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for tenants, handling incoming calls and emails and ensuring that repair and maintenance requests are managed efficiently.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer calls and emails with professionalism and empathy.

  • Diagnosing repair requests and scheduling appointments using the MSI system.

  • Coordinating with operatives and subcontractors to allocate jobs effectively.

  • Keeping customers updated throughout their repair journey and ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.

  • Liaising with supervisors and planners to confirm materials, access, and readiness for appointments.

  • Recording accurate information to support first-time fixes and excellent service delivery.

  • Escalating issues when required and supporting continuous improvement within the team.

This is a role where no two days are the same — you’ll be problem-solving, multitasking, and helping customers get the service they deserve.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience within social housing, maintenance, or repairs
  • Has proven experience in a customer service or call centre environment.

  • Is confident handling high call volumes while maintaining quality and empathy.

  • Possesses strong organisational and administrative skills with great attention to detail.

  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using CRM systems (experience with MSI is advantageous).
