Multi Skilled Operative – Building Maintenance (Commercial & Residential)

Location: Central London (Mobile Role)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £36,000 – £45,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join a respected and growing building maintenance provider. This is a permanent opportunity for someone with a strong background in general building maintenance and multiple trade skills, working across both commercial and residential properties in London.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing general maintenance tasks across client sites

   

• Basic plumbing and carpentry works

   

• Minor decorating and painting

   

• Repairing furniture and fixtures

   

• Installing shelves and window restrictors

   

• Procuring materials and tools required to complete tasks

   

• Completing work logs using a mobile application

   

• Travelling between multiple sites as part of a mobile team

   

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the building maintenance or construction sector

   

• Proven ability across a range of trades such as carpentry, plumbing, decorating, and general repairs

   

• Understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace

   

• Competence using handheld technology for reporting and documentation

   

• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently

   

• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

   

• Trade qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent are highly desirable

   

• A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
