Commercial Director – Planned Maintenance

My client are a leading social housing contractor who are looking for a Commercial Director to lead a planned maintenance division in the South East of England.
Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Director:
- Lead and manage all commercial aspects of the division’s performance and reporting.
- Work closely with senior leadership to meet divisional budgets and profit targets.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, SHEQ standards, and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Drive accurate and timely commercial reporting, ensuring project success and target margin delivery.
- Support in the preparation and negotiation of contracts, valuations, and final accounts.
- Oversee procurement processes and subcontractor engagement to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Lead and mentor a talented team, promoting development and high performance.
The Commercial Director should have:
- Previous experience of a senior commercial role within the social housing sector.
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial discipline.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of legal and contractual processes within the construction industry.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects and delivering high-quality results.
