The Role: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of the commercial team, working closely with clients in the social housing sector. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and assessing applications for payment and ensuring they comply with contract conditions.
  • Preparing monthly cost and performance reports.
  • Managing and resolving disputes or claims between clients and contractors.
  • Monitoring project budgets and costs to ensure projects are completed on time and within agreed standards.
  • Supporting contract negotiations, pricing agreements, and commercial processes.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within social housing maintenance contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
  • A proactive, organised, and professional approach to managing multiple tasks.

Desirable:

  • Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Experience with Reactive Maintenance contracts.
  • Familiarity with Schedule of Rates (SoR), NEC, JCT, and other relevant contracts.
