I’m looking to speak with experienced Quantity Surveyors or Assistant Quantity Surveyors who are looking for that next step, to join a reputable main contractor based out of their Warrington office – working on projects within the Education & Healthcare sectors – prior experience working with the NHS would be advantageous.

• MTC experience preferable.
• Schedule of rates – working knowledge – JCT – MTC Forms of contract preferable not essential.
• Types of works – University small works – reactive and minor works – project works smaller jobs.
• NHS works project works, up to £500k various including ward and office refurbishments CVR experience essential.
• Procurement knowledge.
• Predominantly sub contract delivery some DLO once up and running again.
• Sub contractor management – element of existing and identifying new ones, database on Constructionline.
• Risk analysis – pricing works to a small degree.
• Valuations.
• Live environment pricing of works.
• EG Out of hours working, overtime working – biggest challenge understanding how NHS can cut work at a moments notice or take out of a certain area, nothing can go to plan in this type of environment must adapt and have a Plan B.
• Attend client and progress meetings.
• Estimating through to final account.
• £5K – £500k+ projects – numerous projects (10-15) at any one time.
