Project Engineer – Mechanical

We are seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join our dynamic team on behalf of our client. This role involves working on all mechanical aspects of projects, from design to on-site delivery, within the UK water sector. You’ll collaborate with engineers and site staff to ensure smooth project execution, budget management, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design, specification, and project coordination
• Site visits for scoping, troubleshooting, and project oversight
• Managing project budgets, documentation, and compliance
• Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience in mechanical design (preferably in the water sector)
• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and CAD skills
• Field/practical experience essential
• Driving licence and CSCS card preferable

Salary: £35,000 | Pension | 28 days holiday
