About the Role:
Our client is one of the country’s largest social housing providers, and with a long-term commitment to maintaining and improving their housing stock in the North West, they are looking for a highly motivated and experienced SHEQ Advisor in Greater Manchester area to ensure our safety, health, environment, and quality standards are maintained across all operations. As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety and compliance, helping to maintain a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders. You will provide expert guidance on SHEQ matters, working closely with teams to mitigate risks and improve overall safety performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and advise on SHEQ compliance across all company operations and activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ management systems and policies.
- Provide advice and training on SHEQ best practices to staff at all levels.
- Report on SHEQ performance and support the implementation of corrective actions where necessary.
- Investigate and report incidents, ensuring root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with local, national, and international SHEQ standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Lead and support health and safety initiatives, promoting a proactive safety culture.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a SHEQ Advisor role or similar.
- Strong knowledge of safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations and best practices.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent SHEQ qualification.
- Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.
