We’re working with a leading UK built environment business that is expanding its commercial team and looking to appoint a talented Estimator to support a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work across multiple sectors.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping project success from the earliest stages, influencing strategy, driving value, and working alongside high-performing teams.

The Role

As an Estimator, you’ll be at the heart of the pre-construction process, responsible for producing accurate, competitive, and commercially sound cost estimates.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates across labour, materials, plant, and overheads
  • Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to identify risks and opportunities
  • Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing
  • Collaborating with design, operational, and commercial teams to align on delivery strategy
  • Advising on cost risks, value engineering, and pricing strategies
  • Supporting tender submissions, negotiations, and project handovers
  • Presenting estimates and strategies to senior stakeholders

About You

You’ll be a commercially aware and detail-driven professional with a strong background in estimating within the construction or built environment sector.

We’re looking for:

  • Experience in an Estimator role within construction, FM, or infrastructure
  • Relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar) or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and estimating software
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
