Build Recruitment are currently looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our client’s repairs and maintenance team. The successful candidate will carry out a variety of carpentry and property maintenance tasks across occupied and void properties.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarpentry Works
-
Carry out a wide range of carpentry repairs and installations, including fitting doors, replacing or repairing floorboards, skirting boards, architraves, and kitchen units.

Install and repair fixtures and fittings such as locks, hinges, handles, and other woodwork items.
Repairs & Maintenance

Complete void property repairs to ensure homes are ready for re-letting.

Undertake general maintenance duties including patch repairs, minor plastering, and basic plumbing as required.
Mould Treatments

Assist with the treatment of mould issues using specialist products and techniques, ensuring properties meet required standards.
Retrofit Works
-
Install loft and underfloor insulation.

Prepare and complete finishes following internal wall insulation works.
Collaboration
-
Work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.

Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, and colleagues to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues effectively.
Compliance
-
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
-
Accurately complete all relevant paperwork, including job sheets and risk assessments, within agreed timescales.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
-
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within property repairs and maintenance (including voids).

NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Carpentry.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver quality workmanship.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.
-
Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to duties.

Awareness of basic health and safety requirements.

Understanding of company policies relating to Health & Safety, Customer Care, and Communication.

Ability to participate in a 7-day rota and out-of-hours on-call service.
-
Valid CSCS card.
-
Full, clean UK driving licence.
