The Role
As Property Services Director, you’ll lead the implementation of Aster’s Property Services Transformation Plan, driving our ambition to become a sector leader in repairs and maintenance. This is a pivotal leadership role, overseeing a £100m budget and a workforce of over 500 colleagues.
Your remit spans all property-related functions, including repairs and maintenance, voids, estates services, compliance, fleet strategy, and specialist works. You’ll ensure every home is safe, compliant, and well-maintained, while delivering exceptional customer experiences. Success means embedding a culture of continuous improvement, commerciality, and safety-first thinking across all teams.
What You’ll Do
You’ll shape and deliver the Repairs and Maintenance Strategy, manage risk, and optimise resources to achieve operational excellence. You’ll champion health and safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and hold contractors accountable for performance. Using data-driven insights, you’ll identify opportunities for improvement and lead change that enhances productivity and customer satisfaction. Collaboration is key – you’ll work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to deliver strategic objectives.
What We’re Looking For
We need a proven change leader with experience in large-scale repairs and maintenance, regulatory compliance, and transformation. You’ll combine strategic vision with operational expertise and have the ability to inspire high-performing teams. Strong commercial acumen, budget management skills, and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies are essential. A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a construction-related discipline is required, along with evidence of ongoing professional development.
