Reporting to: Service Manager

We are working with a leading M&E contractor who are seeking a Ground Source Heat Pump Service Engineer to join their expanding service team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills in both mechanical and electrical systems, and a background in heat pump technology — particularly on larger and more complex domestic and commercial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and maintain various ground source heat pump (GSHP) systems

• Perform repairs and remedial work across the heat pump and wider heating system

• Work on both domestic and commercial scale systems

• Carry out fault finding and accurate diagnosis

• Conduct performance testing and system inspections

• Liaise with clients, manufacturers, and internal management teams

• Produce clear and detailed service and repair reports

• Support commissioning and aftercare teams with technical input

• Assist the management team with system-related technical queries

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in heat pump servicing (GSHP essential)

• F-Gas qualified

• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge

• Confident working on large-scale heating systems

• Full UK driving licence

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider technical team

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Commercial awareness and customer-facing professionalism

• Good understanding of building methods and compliance regulations
