Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a wide range of mechanical systems, including HVAC, refrigeration units, pumps, compressors, and other industrial equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical systems to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
• Handle refrigerant systems in compliance with F-Gas regulations, including installation, maintenance, and leak detection.
• Conduct inspections and testing of equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and execute maintenance schedules and upgrades.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and implement effective solutions under pressure.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work logs, parts used, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mechanical systems as required.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members when necessary.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Fully qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering).
• Valid F-Gas Category 1 Certification (handling refrigerants).
• Extensive experience (minimum 5+ years) in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or commercial environment.
• Proven expertise in maintaining HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to work on complex systems.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe working practices.
• Full UK driving license (preferred, if applicable).

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with PLC systems and basic electrical knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (37.5 hours per week).
