Multi Skilled Operative

Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum + van and fuel card

Area: Blandford Forum, Bovington, Poole

The Company:

Build Recruitment are working with a maintenance MOD specialist to recruit a Multi Skilled Operative to join their team working across a range of domestic MOD properties to provide a repairs and maintenance service.

This role is offered on a 12 week temporary contract initially, with the view of a permanent position for the right candidate (salary negotiable with client, usually £32-£34,000 per annum). A company van and fuel card are available during the temporary contract and the client is keen to hear from candidates interested in securing a permanent role.

This role would suit a multi skilled trades person with good plumbing skills, good carpentry skills, UPVC door and window repair experience, and other basic skills such as painting, patch plastering and outdoor maintenance such as fencing and basic brick and block repairs.

You will be working across a range of domestic MOD properties to provide a general repairs service.

Main responsibilities:

Undertaking all aspects of carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and painting as required, assisting with making good and repairs in a variety of domestic properties.

You will be familiar with routine preventative maintenance and reactive works and be able to manage your own workload and work to deadlines. 

Providing excellent customer service.

Requirements (Skills & Qualifications):

• Full driving licence 
• NVQ or C&G qualified in a trade or time served experience
• Able to work on your own and as part of a team

This role will require MOD security vetting on which all offers of employment are subject to the vetting being passed and will require a basic DBS check.
