ROLE PURPOSE:
A Recruitment Consultant is responsible for shortlisting candidates for vacancies, effectively communicating with candidates and client stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use multiple candidate attraction techniques – including internal databases, advertisements, job boards, social media and direct approaches – to source potential candidates.
- Qualify client vacancies and work closely with client stakeholders to understand key priorities, requirements and recruitment process information.
- Conduct initial telephone screenings and skills checks to effectively assess candidate capability.
- Manage applications and shortlist suitable candidates within tight deadlines.
- Effectively present shortlisted candidates to client stakeholders and pro-actively book interviews, assessments etc.
- Manage the recruitment process with a focus on successful outcomes.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a consistently excellent candidate journey.
- Register potentially suitable candidates, including eligibility to work and compliance checks.
- Receive incoming enquiries from prospective and registered candidates via telephone and email.
- Draft effective job advertisements to attract suitable candidates.
- Prepare candidates for CV submission (including CV formatting) and subsequent interviews.
- Build a network of contacts within set specialism.
- Provide feedback to candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Provide general administrative support.
PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITY:
A Recruitment Consultant interacts with potential candidates and client stakeholders, managing the recruitment process from candidate attraction through to aftercare.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Recruitment experience desirable but not essential.
- A proactive and positive team player.
